The Five Commandments That Wake Me Up Each Day By Dr. Shefali
Recently Dr. Shefali shared The Five Commandments That Wake Me Up Each Day in her newsletter. With permission, we are sharing it here with you. Yes, it's that good! Enjoy!!
Dearest Conscious Parents and Friends!
If there was one question I contemplate on a daily basis, it would be this:
What is the true purpose of our existence?
I believe that if we are not fulfilling our purpose as sentient beings then we are foregoing the most valuable opportunity of being birthed in this form.
Sure, fancy dinners and jazz festivals are super fun! So are travels and fast cars.
But isn’t life more than this?

Music Is An Expression Of The Soul
In today's societies, closed minded choices are consistently being made through-out our school systems and communities, where greed rules the outcome of what is on the artistic menu.
There are those that see no value in the arts.
children who are exposed to the arts are able to express themselves beyond
boundaries and confinements. When music is involved it expands their
consciousness on so many levels. Anything can be enhanced with the involvement
of music.
It awakens
a vibration from within that helps them to connect with their raw organic
feelings from past, present and future. It can portray an essence of who they
are and what their needs may be through movement from dancing, audio from
singing, alignment from vibration and contentment from stillness.
Open the floodgates and nourish your child's soul
with the expression of music.

Demonstrating to your children how to be in the present moment.
Demonstrating to your children how to be in the present moment.
A lot of children have the ability to stay in the moment, but if you have a child that has a hard time focusing and being present here are some tips.
- Fully listen when you are in the middle of a conversation with your child. Turn off or remove distractions. Keep eye contact while talking with someone, especially your children. Show the ability to be able to listen without interrupting with an immediate response.

As Conscious Parents, We Must Accept The As-Is Of A Given Situation
Guest Post By Erin Taylor Author of,
Leaving the grocery store this morning, I noticed a mom holding the hands of her two young children as she waited to cross the parking lot to get to her car. With the amount of information one can glean from a very short observation of another, it appeared that the mom seemed relaxed and peaceful, as did her two children.
As I reflected on this woman's demeanor, it got me to thinking about how I used to feel as mom of very young ones, and I believe that more often than not, I looked anything like this mom today; for I remember very often feeling stressed and unhappy, with a furrowed brow and all. I am certain that people who saw me must have wondered why I looked so tortured and miserable. This was unsettling to me, especially as a mom who had suffered the death of her first-born daughter. How can parenting be so difficult and stressful? Why is it so hard? And I felt guilty for not enjoying it more than I did, especially given my life experience.

“No, I won’t! Homeopathy and Temper Tantrums
Guest Article by Joette Calabrese, HMC,CCH,RSHom
Are temper
tantrums a fact of life in your household?
The cantankerous
two year-old.
The
confrontational teenager.
But what if tantrums were actually beneficial?
Sounds peculiar that
such behavior could be considered valuable, doesn’t it?
Well, temper
tantrums are indicators that something is out of balance, not only
behaviorally, but probably physiologically.
And since symptoms are the key to choosing the proper homeopathic remedy,
then this aberrant behavior can actually become useful in addressing the
underlying cause.

Temper Tantrums ~ An Opportunity To Teach Your Child How To Process Emotions
Temper Tantrums ~ An Opportunity to Teach Your Child How to Process Emotions
By Yvonne Perry
Empathy and intuition gives us the ability to better understand how we are connected to other living things. It is a form of communication with others, nature, animals, and even higher or spiritual forms of life. We are all born with empathic ability but most of us shut the sensing ability down at some point either because the energy overload causes discomfort or we are taught not to trust our inner guidance. By shutting down our intuition and empathic ability, we live in our heads and are pretty much out of touch with our body and our own emotions.

Let There Be Peace On Earth And Let It Begin With Me!
Recently Stacy's daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter took a fieldtrip to The RedSun Labyrinth in Victor Montana. She came home, full of life. Her spirit was lit up. She was totally balanced and grounded from connecting with the vibration and energy of the Labyrinth. She couldn't stop talking about all the fun she had. While at the Labyrinth she walked in silence through the spiral maze tuning into and feeling the energy.

All things are reality
Daily Law of Attraction Quotation
Is it reality, or is it not reality? All things are reality. Even if only one is imagining it, it is a reality in that the thought has been offered and someone, who has the ability to translate that vibration, will perceive it. It must be fair to say that anything that can be perceived must be reality. Because, as creators, your reality depends upon what you are willing to imagine and allow.

Teaching children how to use color for healing, protection and balancing.
One of the best tools a parent or caregiver can teach a child is how to safely and proactively set up energetic boundaries with color. Everything is energy. We all have an energetic body and run on different frequencies. There are numerous resources on the web about the energy body, chakras, frequency and using light for healing. To keep it simple we are just going to focus on the main techniques to teach children how to create healthy energetic boundaries using color for health, happiness and protection.
As your child moves through her daily activities. He will come across situations and people who may resonate at a different frequency. This can feel uncomfortable and unsettling. Sometimes your child may feel unwell and need some added assistance rejuvenating and healing his body. When schedules get over piled and activities accelerated, becoming unbalanced is inevitable. Here are a few color techniques to show your children to help them stay balanced, healthy and safe energetically.
Have your child sit or stand and close their eyes.

Am I Not Adorable????
Our beautiful Maggie, because of her and millions of other precious babies out there is why we care and write and share our mind thoughts with society. We are their protectors. For they have no one else.
Their very life depends upon us . As parents and human beings, hopefully we feel the instinct and need to support the inner light of the children. It is a lifelong learning and teaching asset for both parent and child.
The old saying "to teach is to learn and to learn is to teach" is such a true statement.
They come here with a clean slate.
One of the most valuable assets we can give a child is what we put in there minds.
Examples of ways we affect them are :
- By everything we do and say and teach them ,and our actions.
- How we handle situations, If you are yelling or talking in a frightening voice it scares them every time. They will carry that through-out their childhood in their core belief system that they learned from childhood...be aware of your mood swings because they are living it right along with you.
- Don't be naive to this fact it is a true statement. Ask any psychiatrist .They are feeling you and what you are doing and your emotions .
I beg you all to be aware of this to the best of your ability, you are the example If you want them to be the best they can be than you must give them the best of you.
Enjoy what you have what ever it is.
For you see, it is all a gift.

By tuning into your inner feelings you are able to learn how to decifer what your gut instincts are trying to tell you.
Your inner voice you have within you is your own inner guidance system.
It is available 24/7. It is up to us to utilize this gift. Every human being on this planet is born with this ability. This ability can be recognized by many different names such as:

Are you tuned in or are you tuned out?

What is your experience? What has happened in your life when you listened to your inner voice? What about when you weren't listening?

Raising children with an inner awareness of being connected to everything.
I recently watched the movie Avatar. It was an awe-inspiring interconnected amazing movie. Can you imagine a world where we raise our children with an inner awareness of being connected to everything? Being one with our environment? To work with nature and life instead of against it. To have respect for all living creatures in our world?
What if we taught our children to have respect and appreciation for the food that they are eating. For the plants they are consuming. For the value of the planet we are living on. Demonstrating a balanced world of giving and taking. As consumers we mostly take and do not give back to our planet. Some ways you can teach your children to be interconnected to thier environment are:
*Take them out in nature as much as possible, on hikes, walks, camping trips, nature museums, parks. While you are there acknowledge the trees, birds, insects. Have them listen to the sounds they hear. Have them smell the air. Can they feel the wind on their faces or is it calm outside. What does it feel like inside of them? Do they feel calm or excited. This is a great time to begin or refresh tools on intuition.
*Take a vacation to a National Park. Try and encourage a little quiet time in nature. Go on a scavenger hunt. Give your child a little list of things to feel with you and only use signals or expressions to communicate. Your list could include for them to mark down when they've heard a bird sing, felt a breeze, smelled a flower, found a stick, saw a wild animal, etc. Look around you and be creative.
